For all clients under 18, bring:
The minor's birth certificate
The legal guardian's state-issued photo ID
Clients ages 16–17 receiving a piercing other than earlobes must also bring their own state-issued photo ID.
School IDs cannot be accepted.CAN I GET PIERCED IF I'M PREGNANT?
No. We do not perform new piercings during pregnancy.
You're welcome to visit us for jewelry assistance or help with an existing piercing.
DOES GETTING PIERCED HURT?
Yep.
Fortunately, the actual piercing is usually over very quickly. Pain varies by person and placement, and our piercers will talk you through the process so you know exactly what to expect.
DO YOU USE PIERCING GUNS?
No.
All piercings are performed with sterile, single-use piercing needles and professional equipment.
HOW SHOULD I CLEAN MY PIERCING?
Keep it simple.
Follow the aftercare instructions provided by your piercer and use the aftercare product provided with your piercing as directed.
Avoid twisting, rotating, picking at, or unnecessarily handling your jewelry.
HOW LONG WILL MY PIERCING TAKE TO HEAL?
It depends heavily on the piercing.
Some piercings settle relatively quickly, while cartilage and other placements can take many months to fully heal.
Your piercer will give you expectations specific to your piercing, anatomy, jewelry, and lifestyle.
WHEN CAN I CHANGE MY JEWELRY?
Being comfortable isn't necessarily the same thing as being healed.
If you're unsure whether your piercing is ready for new jewelry, come see us. We'll evaluate it and help you change jewelry safely when appropriate.
WHAT IS DOWNSIZING?
Many fresh piercings require slightly longer jewelry to accommodate initial swelling.
Once that swelling has subsided, your piercer may recommend replacing the initial post with a shorter one. Properly fitted jewelry can improve comfort and help prevent irritation.
We'll let you know whether your piercing is one that typically needs a downsize and when we'd like to see you again.
I HAVE AN IRRITATION BUMP. WHAT DO I DO?
Come see us
Irritation bumps can have many causes, including jewelry fit, angle, pressure, trauma, moisture, aftercare, or anatomy. Treating the wrong problem can make things worse.
Troubleshooting piercings performed at Element is always complimentary.
I THINK MY PIERCING IS INFECTED. SHOULD I REMOVE THE JEWELRY?Don't remove jewelry from a potentially infected piercing without first getting appropriate professional or medical guidance.
If you're concerned about a piercing, we're happy to evaluate it. Symptoms suggesting a significant infection or illness may require evaluation by a healthcare professional.
CAN YOU HELP WITH A PIERCING DONE SOMEWHERE ELSE?
Absolutely.
We routinely troubleshoot existing piercings, including jewelry problems, irritation, placement concerns, and piercings that simply refuse to behave.
DO YOU TAKE JEWELRY RETURNS?
Because body jewelry is a personal-wear item and may come into contact with bodily fluids, return and exchange options are limited.
If there's a problem with jewelry purchased from Element, however, come talk to us. We stand behind what we sell.WHAT IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG WITH MY PIERCING?
Come back.
We stand behind every piercing we perform and every piece of jewelry we sell. If something isn't healing right, doesn't feel right, or isn't what you expected, let us take a look.
Our goal isn't to get you out the door with a piercing.
It's to help you end up with one you're happy wearing.
